Resort and Local Area

Hurghada

Hurghada has 30km of long sandy beaches. It is served by an international airport which is 2 miles from the town. The old town has a daily ferry service to the resort of Sharm el Sheikh. It is a well known destination for sail boarders, divers and sunbathers. There are a large selection of diving centres in Hurghada. For the less sportily interested visitors, hotels and resorts offer a large selection of less extreme, but rather relaxing kinds of water sports. A snorkel trip to Gifton Island is recommended. Trips are available by paddleboat, canoe, catamaran, glass bottom boats or submarines.
